The If You Care principle is absolute waste prevention, either through compostability or recycling.
The difference with conventional baking papers is that If You Care baking papers are 100% unbleached and completely compostable. This is confirmed by the independent institutes Insega, Vincotte and by compostability tests. This applies to composting plants as well as the own home compost. The papers are composted without residue, so that the compost can be used as high-quality humus in connection. This can take 2-4 months depending on the altitude and location of the compost. In addition, the outer cartons of all IYC products are made of 100% untreated, recycled cardboard. The inks are vegetable-based and the adhesives are resin-based, so the outer carton can also be recycled after use.
If You Care's baking papers are also coated. This is a special coating. Conventional silicones are produced by petrochemical processes, which are exclusively synthetic. The coating of If You Care baking papers has similar good properties in baking behavior as the synthetic ones, with the difference that the coating used for If You Care baking papers is very thin and based on sand and quartz. Therefore, this is harmless and compostable after use.

Why do we work with silicone?
Silicone is made from silicon, a mineral derived from sand, quartz and rock. Silicone is non-toxic when burned and is therefore considered an environmentally friendly and at the same time effective non-stick surface.
