Manufacturing:
In the manufacturing process, chicle, which is sustainably harvested from the rainforest, is first fused with natural waxes. While still hot, the resulting chicle is mixed with organic sweeteners and natural flavors, pressed and finally formed into gum strips.

The harvesting of chicle has always been based on sustainable practices. In the rainforest of the Yucatán Peninsula, home of the ancient Mayan culture, one of the most diversified ecosystems in the world has survived. Chicza is not only a high-quality chewing gum, but also an outstanding example of sustainability, active rainforest protection and fair exchange between people and nature. There are 56 cooperatives, with a combined membership of around 2000, managing an area of 1.3 million hectares of rainforest.
